FileLocker is designed as a client-side application. This means that all of the complex password-protection math happens directly inside the memory of your web browser.

FileLocker does not use a server to receive selected files for processing. If the page and required resources are already loaded, processing can continue without an active internet connection.

Your FileLocker Password Stays in Your Browser

Because password processing happens locally in your browser, your FileLocker password is not sent to a FileLocker server during file protection. FileLocker does not store or recover your password if you lose it.

No Account Required for File Protection

You don't need to sign up or create an account to use FileLocker. The browser-based file protection tool is designed to let you password protect files and folders without requiring an account or storing a password for you.
